Mostly cloudy atm, quite a strange day have a northeasterly (offshore) wind blowing but it's only 20C at 230pm due to a large band of cloud and showers to the east. Looks like there are a few storms about 150km north developing and heading in this direction, hopefully there's sufficient surface heating to keep them active.

The forecast top of 34C for October 31st was incorrect. It reached only 30.2C on that day. Today on the other hand has had a max of a mere 16C. Much the same forecast for tomorrow

Looks to start getting on the weekend though...

That is right... you know what, despite the fact that most of the people hate that, I even like it. Even the two 36°C days were a fun experience... if it lasted longer than that, it would start to become unbearable, but I liked it... I went for a walk in the afternoon, the temperatures were "mild", around 32°C and relatively windy with purple skies, it felt apocalyptic and interesting.

The fun thing is that, at night, after such scorching 36°C day, with ~28°C and wind, it felt even a bit cool haha!

But now I surely would appreciate another cold wave with windchills near freezing... too bad that is not going to happen.

I think my climate preferences have changed... My ideal was milder, now I think I'd choose a humid continental climate like Sapporo... Nice, humid and warm summers, prone to 90°F+ heatwaves; long, snowy and not bitterly cold winters. Good amount of sunshine (<2000h).

A few showers. Southerlies tending easterly.

Issued: 11:09am 2 Nov

Wednesday7 Nov

The average high / low for this time of year is about 9 / 19 C. This spring has been remarkable in the frequency and duration of severe cold snaps. These temps are more typical of late August than early November.

And despite that September was +0.4/+0.5C at the 2 main Ch'ch sites. Very selective reporting on your part.

It's been mostly cloudy here for the past few days, while rain and storms were forecast here there has been basically nothing along the coast, though it's been raining quite heavily over the inland Wheatbelt and in some areas they've received hail damage to their crops.

The models are suggesting a good drop of rain Saturday through to Monday for Perth, GFS has been consistently predicting around 50mm for this event which would be great if it eventuates.
