Melbourne's July high will be above average. If the forecast highs come to fruition, the average high should end up at 16.3C . And that's including the coldest day in 7 years (9.7c), following the warmest day on record (23.3c) by no more than 48 hours!

I think so too. But I think that the sun is very strong at this time of the year and with the warm uppers when and if the cloud breaks the temps sky rocket.
Yep! This July has been one of the warmest I can ever remember, infact, the whole winter has been mild. The only strong cold front has been last weekend with the 9.7C high on the Saturday with 0 hours of sun. The Sunday was the second coldest day of the month at 11.1c but one of the sunniest with 8.4 hours of sun.
