a yea only problem would be the darkness. Nothing as bad as having warm weather in winter.

This intense probably record breaking cold wave that is hitting the Midwest the next few days will force our average max down to below the 30 year norm by a good 1-1.5C

As of the 25th

O'Hare: 29.1C
Midway:29.6C

For Buxton the average high (in my garden) is at 22.0°C.

Based on the 18z GFS it will be down to 21.6°C by end of the month, some 2°C lower than July 2006 which was 23.6°C. So, not in that league.
