Sea temperatures

I like Corfu's averages, but not sure I could handle 25C/26C lows for a whole week!

And 25 C will be at the outskirts. Into the city it will be higher in heat waves. So get ready to experience the real greek summer Sea temperature varies. There are beaches that have warm sea waters and some beaches with cold waters. In Corfu for example there is a beach with the name Paleokastritsa that have very cold waters I think around 12 C. Some others have around 24 C or 25 C. Generally the Ionian Sea has colder waters than the Aegean.

I 've never been to Corfu I don 't know it but everyone that went to that beach said me it was difficult to swin in that beach it had too cold waters. There is a river in the prefecure of Ioannina in Zaori region "Voidomatis" that has 5 C water temperature all the year. Many people and tourists go there for rafting or experience swimming in that cold waters. It is very beautiful but I don' t want to swim there I am afraid hahaha! Generally I can 't stand cold water. I want it to be warm to enjoy swimming. I had hypothermia one time because I swam at a quite cold sea. Yes we will be very hot here. When you have colder than average weather we have warmer than average weather and the opposite.

Wow! That is hot indeed! I think where I am going the sea temperatures are currently 26C/27C so it should be great for swimming!

The Corfu averages are around my ideal summers to be honest

Met office/BBC are embarrassingly awful at temp predictions, tomorrow we will hit at least 3C higher than their predictions, and watch Madrid do the same too
