I just checked the weather for Springfield, and I'm seeing upper 60's tomorrow and 70 Wed. That's not pleasant weather?
They've upped the temp forecast for us - lower 80's on Wed now, with lows staying above 60. I wanna at least be hitting our averages, which are in the mid 50's - mid 70's now.

It's fine, mornings are too chilly. But those are the two warmest days of the forecast. We had some unusually cool days earlier — a couple days with highs in the low 50s. October is mostly ok, though I'd rather have some warmth. Don't care for the sun and short days.
I could bike around in the afternoon without any sweat which is nice, but yesterday evening felt cold.
I'm jealous deep inside of me. We're both unhappy.
Your autumn isn't that cold? I thought you didn't mind cooler weather. Or you having trouble adjusting to the lack of 70°F dewpoints and mornings in the 60s.
Cooler weather sure is nice for physical activity. Now I can jog in the middle of the day without sweating buckets.
Otoh, I cannot eat outside comfortably anymore in the evening. Also, my indoors have reached the critical 70°F threshold. I'll try my best to keep them at this level as long as I can, but I know that this is a lost cause. And the continental weather lovel inside of me can't look forward to endure 6 solid months of limbo temps with little variation.
This evening is nice, it's still almost 20°C at 10 pm. Dewpoint and overnight low around 60°F. It feels damp.
We're supposed to have a week of sunshine with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Pleasant but unexciting weather like we're supposed to get later this week is very common in October here.
