So nice when there's a chill in the air with the windows down. My batteries are slowly recharging again.

Indications of a widespread frost north of Philly around mid month (15th give or take). Freeze for New England.

And in 2 weeks GFS hinting at ............. Whoops... let me stop there.

We were spared from Epic disaster IMO. Hurricane is at its closest it will be to New England. And in the same picture the Upper Low off the South East coast WHICH PUSHED IT AWAY. Had it phased and pulled it into the coast like Sandy, we would of been worse off even in New England as once was shown.

Yeah we were lucky. Instead of being smacked by a major hurricane, it was just cool and sunny autumn day. Very nice.

Update on where Joaquin is with temps

Cat 1 Hurricane Joaquin now 530 miles from Nantucket moving NE at 17mph. Temps in the 40s down to VA this morning

And yeah... that's LaGuardia NYC at 56° . I'm at my low 45.1° right now so might drop just a fraction more before sun comes up.

2 things to notice on this 850mb temp map.

1. Cold air staying north of Canadian Border. Freezing line showing not even a big cold airmass up there yet.. Should build and drop down soon

2. Warm core on Joaquin. +21C over the center
