Maybe because overall deaths have fallen. In NYC the homiciee rate is like 1/9th of what it was in the early 90s
While the national trend during that time was downward when it comes to crime (one plausible theory is the aftereffects of the supreme court in 1973 legalizing abortion) some argue, plausibly it's because of policing tactics such as those Rudy Giuliani implemented.
Depends, Alton Sterling case is horrible and disgusting but Michael Brown and Dylan Noble should not be charging at police officers. If youre a police officer and you see someone running at you and trying to grab your gun you don't have much time to decide if the person is harmful or not. It's not a video game where you can also everything

Yea a lot of those cases are justified. But they're others where the suspect where being difficult and uncooperative not attacking the police (for example, Sandra Bland). In a free country, you shouldn't die for annoying the police.

There are also the numerous cases of cops pummeling people for no legitimate reason. Probably always happened, but harder to get away with it now days with the proliferation of cell phone cameras.

Giuliani was amazing and Bloomberg too. Bloomberg began the process of making NYC more urban and created lots of new development. I think Bloomberg should design an entire city from scratch, it would be interesting to see what he could create!

I'm not going to delve into the specifics of those particular cases, there's always conflicting reports between witnesses and police. However, it goes far beyond these high profile cases, this may be all new for some people since it's in the spotlight, but there hasn't been a time in this country's history where citizens (mainly minoroties) haven't been killed under questionable circumstances. You don't really see this in any other developed nation.
I will admit that the police are given too much responsibility, there should be other agencies for dealing with cases such as mentality unstable individuals, who are often killed by trigger happy police.
