The only people "turning" against black people were people who were racist bigots to begin with, and are using these recent cop shootings to justify their racism.
Well here is my family history, my first uncle immigrated to Charlotte in 1977. He went to UNCC for college. My second uncle came a year after and started driving taxis, my third uncle came in 1980, he went to college graduated and married a women from Wilmington NC.
They all lived and worked in Charlotte, my dad and his other brothers who hadn't immigrated were in Kuwait, still in high school. Once the Gulf War broke out my dad went to Jordan with his brother and from there came to charlotte where they started working. Eventually he met my mom when her family came to visit my mom's brother here. They got married and lived in charlotte up to 2007 which is when we moved after my dad got a promotion.
That's basically a summary of there moving history. You would be surprised, there are many Muslim immigrants especially early ones from the 70s who live in pretty far flung places like out here. Then there are some who are descendants of the first wave of Muslim immigration in the 1950s to new jersey and new york.
No offense, but your family got in on classic chain migration that differentiates the US from every other industrialized country. We need a points based system like Canada and Australia, not getting in cause your brother or sister got in. It is stupid, and it needs to end.
I don't think an immigrant should be allowed into the US just because his brother got in. We need to let anyone in that we deem we need for our society or economy. The 1965 immigration law signed by LBJ changed our immigration to chain migration. Thankfully lots of people have caught in that it isn't good for the US, and Trump at least wants to end it and many many Americans agree. You should only get in this country based on your own individual skills and knowledge of English. You should never get in because your adult brother or sister got in.
Went to the strip club with some buddies last night, got a striper's number to "have some fun". Unfortuately, I got wasted af and don't remember her name. So I can't even message her or anything....
The immigration systems of the USA and Canada/Australian seem to achieve the same thing. Whether they are chain immigrants or "skilled workers" that companies can sponsor so that they have them at their mercy for a # of years (mostly from developing countries, so they have a massive incentive to be loyal to their employers). Either way, broadly speaking, a bad deal for native-born citizens.

I don't know about my other uncles but my dad and one of my uncles applied for a student visa. That's how they got in.
