The upper level flow pattern off the West Coast is what should have occurred during winter but hardly ever happened. So, we have winter upper air flow patterns in spring now. I had two low temperatures of 25F in southern Indiana this month after blowtorch January-March and hardly and very few below freezing lows in all of March.
You guys in the North East US are not alone. Exactly the same situation here in Northe East Europe. We had a blowtorch winter and now have a nasty cold pattern that won't budge,... and of course at the same time Western Europe is nice and toasty as usual. I hope this crap clears up by mid-May and doesn't ruin summer.
