3. United Arab Emirates (Glowing skyscrapers are nice and all, but the human rights are backwards and let's not forget about the lack of sewage systems and infrastructure)
I mean seriously...a place where they have air conitioning on bus stops is called "lack of infrastructure"?
"Lol muslims...cavemen who don't have our water pipes here in america or the modern cabs in the uk"...
Where did I say anything about Muslims? I have tons of respect for Muslim countries like Morocco, Tunisia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia, Azerbaijan, even Turkey until a couple of years ago. I don't have respect for some petrostate in the desert that uses slave labor and has ties to terrorism

Why do you find Netherlands overrated?
I find it actually the opposite, Netherlands is mostly viewed as a weed country with canals (Amsterdam) besides the country is muuuch better than that and the best looking city is Rotterdam. If you like classic constructions go to Utrecht, if you want nature go anywhere in the countryside, or the small lovely towns which barely find a competitor anywhere else.
It's a real pity that Netherlands is 95% known for Amsterdam...
I find Amsterdam ultra-hyper overrated but Netherlands very underrated. Specially Rotterdam, the unknown!

I find the same is true of most countries, indeed Paris, London or NYC may be overrated but there are many parts of France, the UK and US which are equally underrated.
It also depends on what your interests are, if you are interested in museums, history, knowledge, culture and the arts then London will not be overrated, and the same applies to Paris, however parts of both cities may dissapoint due to the fact that like many parts of the world they attract so many tourists, they have become tourist traps.
However I am not sure what peoples expectations are in relation to big cities, and London is one of the most pleasant big cities anywhere, whilst the UK Lake District has just been awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site Status.
