Fear of losing sovereignty and the Canadian way of life. The US has 9 times the population. This fear is made more potent since it's a lot easier to traverse between the US and Canada than it is NZ and Australia.

Probably a union between five countries: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States are much more preferable!

No! We don't want Hispanics pouring into Canada from the U.S.

I hope you're being sarcastic, or at the very least, facetious.

Because there are no good reasons for Canada to do it and there are a multitude of reasons for why it would be a bad thing for Canada to do.

Why don't USA and Mexico have freedom of movement of people between those two countries?

A Kiwi would need to be aiding and abetting criminal or pretty serious anti social activities to be detained and deported "due to association".

Add the US and Ireland to the list and I’m down. It would be the best thing ever. If we could expand it beyond just Anglo countries it would be even better. Id like to see France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Scandinavaian countries added to the list.

You can't add France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Scandinavian countries, or it's called the European Union and they already have a goal on their own.

The US maybe if they ditch NAFTA, but unlikely as if NAFTA was not useful, why would that agreement even be of use to he US? Ireland is tied to the EU so it's not happening, that's the whole "problem" the UK is going through with the hard boarder on Ireland and the Brexit.

Is it really that problematic if countries are in multiple economic unions? Conflict of interest?
