How about people who don't know when to use "to" and "too"? This annoys me to no end.

For example, which would you use in these sentences?

1) Today I went ____ the grocery store ____ buy food.
2) I'm going ____ have ____ exercise a lot this week. I ate ____ much this weekend.
3) You studied Latin in junior high school? I did _____.

Or how about people who say, "I graduated college" rather than the correct way which is "I graduated from college." DUH.... when you think about it, people who don't know any better are actually saying that they helped the college graduate when they went to college to pursue an education and then graduate from the institution.

Another error that is made over and over again is the use of an adjective when and adverb should be used. For example people wrongly say " The cake I baked came out excellent" rather than "The cake I baked came out excellently". They forget when the word modifies a verb it is supposed to have "ly" added to it and whem it modifies a noun it can be left alone as an adjective.

Isn't "Y'all" singular and "All Y'all" plural?

"I concur."

Because, apparently, agreeing is much too simple!

Yes, they do. I don't know what I was thinking. My mind is going.

LOL.

I actually hear people use these terms in Florida where I live. I'm moving next year, although I'm sure there are rednecks everywhere.

I especially hate it when people PRONOUNCE "should've, could've would've" as "should OF, could OF would OF" when they are trying to be articulate - it makes me cringe. Also, it deeply irritates me when people do not know how to use the subjunctive when saying "If I was you I'd go/If he was still here..."instead of "If I were you/If he were still here." One more, when people are making complex sentences and have verb/subject disagreements like "The passengers in the Metro line going to work travels daily."
