A couple of years ago, I wrote a blog post entitled "Trying To Remember Expiration Dates: Is The End Near?", and it dealt with things I bought at a grocery store that were perishable (some less quickly than others) to meet the fate which awaits them. Well, now, I've had to deal with an item that is a part of nearly every grocery trip and badly needed for certain situations, and with an expiration date, only to deal with a very vicious surprise.

That time of year has come yet again. America has another birthday, and we're all going to celebrate today. Lots of fireworks displays, parades, and cookouts will be in the offing in many places on this 4th.
