Posted 05-08-2021 at 09:51 PM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

"that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, that the Christ may dwell, through faith, in your hearts, being rooted and founded in love, - Ephesians 3:16,17

As believers, we are rooted and grounded in His magnificent love (Ephesians 3:17). We have courage, the depth of which is confidence in the Lord. Today we declare that we will "Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not unto...

Before We Celebrate Mothers, We Can Celebrate Windmills

Posted 05-08-2021 at 08:58 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

This might make many Texans rejoice, but today is National Windmill Day. I've taken this from the trusty Calendar of Strange Holidays, and, well, there it was.

Even though it's actually a bigger day in The Netherlands than it is in Texas, fellow statesmen can still celebrate a real Texas tradition. Windmills? Of course! You know that they stole it. They did, folks.

And even stolen elections have their own set of consequences. We are watching corruption re-entering the D.C. cluster as never before. America will never be on the mend unless it has enough people willing to fight back.

States are just now putting together new laws to protect themselves and preserve election integrity. The left calls it voter suppression, but folks, they're crying because they just...

Expanding Our Understanding

Posted 05-07-2021 at 12:24 AM by Albert Finch (How Do I Advance My Spiritual Life?)

1 Kings 19:14 - And he said, "I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Thy covenant, torn down Thine altars and killed Thy prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."

Much of Elijah's discouragement came from the false expectations he had placed upon himself. In his dejection, alone and hurting, Elijah withdrew into a "cave."

For us, self-pity can also...
