Last time I went, my son and the Bug (Papillon pup) were not impressed and ended up falling asleep in the back of the truck. We are lucky if we can see them once a year here.

I wish you luck of it...So far the Kp indices are at 3 and the aurora oval isn't as pronounced as last eve's. But...looking on that webcam, the activity seems to be increasing. Have you the camera ready??
Well, there is a greenish tint to the sky, but nothing real pronounced yet. Part of the problem is I'm just outside the first ring, so it is low on the horizon. With all the mountains, you can't see the horizon here at all...
You're right, though, if that webcam is any indication it is increasing.

You may be in luck then. Here, the indices have to be between 7-8 if the lights are to be seen. I told my husband earlier that the lights would be out for him in Kuparuk...he told me to forget it, he needs sleep..lol.

He did catch some of the show two nights ago in Kuparuk...

He said this was just the beginning, but then his tripod froze.

Well, the kP is up to 4, which puts me within the band. I'll have to start watching now...

As you say..if the webcam is any indication, there are some solid bands now. I hope you have the luck....post images! I believe I am off for slumbers, or attempt to anyway; see if the insomnia will let me. Have a fine night of it!

I saw some northern lights from the air. Very faint though.

It clouded up in my area. So I went to bed. A couple more Caribou came by the house yesterday...and this morning 2 swans just flew over the house! WooHoo!

I cannot begin to conceive how one even begins to style their hair such as this. The mind boggles....especially since I have naturally curly hair in the first place. More power to the chap!
