John 2:11

Unless there is a different definition of DRUNK--having too much to drink is DRUNK..

You really need to read it all...If we jut read the first page of the bible, what impression would we have?

Hopefully, by the time the SOn of Man comes through, some on this page will have expanded their knowledge and can recognize him, otherwise I am afraid when Jesus is here, they will be telling him to get behind...

Drinking wine at a wedding does not make a person an alcoholic, but then again, you already knew that.

Stop trying to parse the message. Was Jesus a schemer? Or did be preach an obvious message not subject to human idiocy?
There is no parsing. Many Christians would not attend for the reasons I explained. They think it would violate the "love your God with all your heart" command. They think if would hamper their walk with God. Why can't you respect their view? Why do people judge Christians for their desire to honor God with their walk with God. If you love them, you respect their views even if you don't agree with them.

If you feel it's ok to attend, then go, if you are not comfortable, then don't go.

Unlike the Christians bakeries, Christians have a choice to not participate. If your gay friend cannot respect your views then is he really your friend?

What if you believed drug use is against your religion, and your friend insisted you try some cocaine? Would you do it because you think "love your neighbor" commands you to appease everyone? Would your friend be offended you turn it down?

But "drinking too much" wine does make one drunk, but YOU already knew that as well.

Lets splt hairs on the differece between a drunk and an alcoholic? or should we sling a few verses to defend the idea that is is OK to get people liquored up as long as they are not alcoholics?

Would that be like attending a gay wedding as long as there was no sex?

An alcoholic can repent from a lifestyle of drunkenness and not get drunk anymore. A gay wedding, they will be living a lifestyle of sexual immorality before and after that wedding that God will never recognize. Pretty much just 2 friends having sex, since marriage is defined as man and woman only in the eyes of God.

attending a wedding is not a crime or a sin you you dope /. sin is a *concept * created by the christian church to control the masses
murder is a crime so to partake in it in any way would be wrong ..get it
