Yes those do believe, but have been mislead. God never used more than a single religion, ever--not then, not now--99% of all religion is false--yet all those believe.
More to the point he's never used ANY religion. It's always been about "whosoever believes him".
So when Christ was out and about doing his ministry, and later after the crucifixion, there was the Jewish folks going to church, the Hindus, Agnostics, and then what a few selfish folks started calling Christian---the god of which you speak just kept CHANGING religion (which is a man created term, right?)

But they (Israel) had no mortal sinful leader until David--like 500 some years into the story??

wadr, this was not a religion in the same way we think of religion now. The OT seems like mostly a record of how not to serve God; they were plenty cut off before that! Judaism is a religion now, but it was a lifestyle then. Theonomy, yes, until they rejected even that. God is not religious, and doesn't want you to be either imo

No they were not one religion, they were one nation that was divided.
This must be why all the evangelicals love Trump. He is going to show them the rapture....
