typically when you describe something, and then post images, the images should somehow reflect what you are describing. Well I guess the water is flat so I'd give you that much, but most lakes I have seen do tend to be flat and not slanted. I'd guess I'd give your attempt a D- for getting that much right.
this would be a swamp, just coincidence that it happens to be in Florida (from Wikipedia)
You can call Florida swampy all you want, they are tourist attractions in Florida... they bring in a lot of money.
But where in Minnesota will I find beautiful, warm, tropical white sand beaches full of coral reefs and dolphins? There is no disrespecting Florida here because I do not see yachts and tiki bars with hot girls dancing in Minnesota.

Those photos are nothing special by the way. Docks and boats and people are found on just about every lake.
AGAIN....
Is your sole purpose for being in this thread for smacktalking and insulting Minnesota (even though you clearly know very little about it) or do you actually have something worthy to contribute here? Incessent trolling, yuck! This is a good thread, don't ruin it.

These are in upstate NY in the Adirondacks. I am not ignorant here though, maybe a bit blunt, but it is truth. It seems there are many ignorant people who vote for Minnesota based solely on the fact that it has the most lakes... which does not even come close to meaning it is the best lake state. NY has the 3rd or 4th most lakes in the country, and out of the top 5 states with the most lakes NY has the most scenic of them all.

That is much better. Thank you. But again you incessently diss Minnesota, pointless, it won't change the poll results. Try camping up in Lake of the Woods, or canoeing Boundary Waters, or go see the spectacular Lake Superior shoreline before you force your Minnesota diss down peoples throats. Appreciate places for what they are, it makes the world a much more enjoyable place, and gives the thread a lot more substance.
BTW I love the Adirondacks! and the Finger Lakes, and Lake Champlain is glorious. I've never seen the great lakes shoreline (Ontario, Erie) in upstate NY. Ever been? I'm curious.
The Great Lakes here is not that great to me. There is the Thousand Islands Seaway which is cool because of all the islands and some "castles" and then there is a place on Lake Ontario called Chimney Bluffs, but they make up a very short span of the shoreline... the rest of it is just flat.
