black folk from Nigeria living in NYC don't even know nothing about black-skinned folk born in NYC or MS
black folk born in Puerto Rico who live in NYC don't have nothing to do with dome black folk that moved from North Carolina to NYC or Chicago - you gots to be crazy
black folk in NYC hardly have anything in culture in common with black folk in Memphis TN or somewhere in Mississippi like Greenwood
black culture is not some kind of universal glue, neither is white culture

LOL! Good rant. I look forward to seeing more of your posts on these forums.
I used to love those commercials! JET, EBONY, Johnson Products Co., and the Soul Train (all have Chicago origins)! Things have changed a lot in my 42 years.
That said, I don't know which is more culturally "Black." As near as I can tell, if Black culture IS NOT in the toilet, it is VERY close to a toilet. I write this with much disappointment in regards to our collective descent.
Nah. Johnson was from my home state Arkansas. He wasn't from Chicago.
His company was based in Chicago. That's what ThreeSides was saying.
Edit: And I'm not seeing anything about George Johnson being from Arkansas. His bios state he was born in Mississippi and moved to Chicago as a child.
I appreciate you!
