If you're asking in which city do Black people have more influence among those of other races, I'd say New York hands down, if for no other reason than the influence of Hip Hop on other cultures worldwide.

If you're asking which city has more sway over Black Americans politically and economically...that's arguable but probably New York.

If you're asking which city is more culturally African American then Chicago, no questions asked.

You are correct.
DC didn't get home rule for awhile, but as far
as elected officials black machine politics have reigned supreme since then. This year is an election year for DC and it may get it's first white mayor.

I wouldn't be surprised. A little tidbit: DC's first Black mayor was raised in Upstate NY.

Nope, we remember him and her too. I believe that NYC's Black community is older, but that shouldn't be a surprise.
