no. It was definitely shared between LA and NY. I'd also put Chicago with Atlanta and Houston for 04-06 when you had Lupe, Twista, Kanye come out with albums.

Absolutely do not agree. Maybe because you were out west, but the East was just as popular and had a major impact as the west for the majority of the nation in every last one of those years. I'll give you 93. But 94 and 95, the East was just as big as LA if not bigger. In 1995 alone, the biggest hip hop single was One More Chance. Other huge singles was Method Man and Mary J Blige.
98 and 99 was also shared between Cash Money and Ruff Ryders. 1997, I'm giving that to No-Limit and Bad Boy.

I'm not sure how you guys managed to completely skip over Tribe, De La Soul and Pete Rock.
Both really didn't dominate until 2000. You can make an argument for Roc-a-fella before from 98 on up. But that year and 99 was dominated by Cash Money and Ruff Ryders.

I didn't intentionally do that as I was pressed for time. I could have added more. My point was that LA didn't dominate that era as much as he think it did.
The thing with ATL rap is most of their "rappers" don't really have skill or talent. Anyone can be a rapper nowadays.
What era are you referring to? Currently, NYC is lacking skill, talent, exposure, marketability.
