I'm not talking about towns, I'm talking about living on the Coastline within a few miles of a beach has more appeal to me as someone in their 20s then being in the middle of the state with the mall being my center of entertainment.

And yes you have to deal with the traffic. I dont live in the area anymore so the point is moot.

Bridgeport & Danbury are only like 25 miles (or even less!) from each other yet takes 60 minutes to get too because 25 through Monroe & Newtown is a complete disaster!

Wait 'til Monroe adds a Walmart on Rt. 25.

Walmart has a vibe that shouldn't be brought to Monroe. Imagine putting a Walmart right in downtown Easton. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Easton's retail shopping includes a couple of farm stands, one small restaurant and a general store. Monroe has stores and restaurants up and down both Route 25 and Route 111. Very different. Monroe has zoned properties on these roads for commercial development so it should not be surprising that a big box store gets proposed and approved. Jay

I have coworkers in Bridgeport who live in Danbury and it takes them as much if not more to get to work than it does from me in Westchester County because of their lack of a "real" highway.

Seriously! There needs to be a parkway or an express highway that runs diagonal in FFC. Newtown to Greenwich and Danbury to BPT.

I believe there was one in the works last century, but, never materialized. Only Merritt Parkway did. :/

They should have turned Route 7 into a highway from Danbury to Norwalk. It's too late now since neighborhoods will be in the way. Houses and properties are so spread out in the area that it will be nearly impossible. Even if there is still some room, many residents in Ridgefield and Weston would most likely be against it.
