Any idea what took so long?
The Chinese-Japanese restaurant moved to Hope St, almost across from Pappa’s Pizza.

I noticed them the other day when I was stuck in traffic.

A couple of nights ago I was down at Harbor Point and passed by the old hill near the Ponus Yacht Club. The hill is gone and plenty of columns under construction are sprouting in its place. I guess another highrise is coming up.

I managed to take a couple of photos.

Does anyone know if Charter started construction on their new HQ's? I believe they are building it at 406 Washington Blvd.

They just announced it. I believe construction was not starting until later this year. Jay

Early this evening I decided to see if I could get a sneek peek at the new Home Depot from the hill west of the nearby Stop&Shop. I think it was a success from my part! lol

Ladies and gentlemen, Stamford (and Greenwich, the border is a stone throw away) practically have their Home Depot! Its a matter of waiting for the inauguration.

I haven't heard or read anything of when it will open its doors, but I did noticed that the big 'We are hiring' banner at the entrance on West Main Street was gone when I took the photo.

I still want to know what is going to replace the old UCONN garage. They closed it down, i wonder if there will be additional dorms there. I wonder where the students will park??

It is a demolition project coupled with environmental soil remediation. So far that is all that is budgeted for that site. They need government approval for the remediation work.
