There are some brand differences between the two stores, I always liked the selection/brands at Home Depot personally if I had to choose one store over the other. Give it till next Spring though, I think the Norwalk Lowes will get plenty of traffic just because there's a lot of people in the area. For gardening stuff, if it's the closest stop, why not go there?

It seems the expansion of Myrtle Avenue is finally taking place! This is at the intersection with Elm Street looking from the end of Jefferson Street. This is the second phase, the first one took place along Jefferson Avenue. Once Myrtle Avenue is upgraded, the corridor will help relieve traffic alon route 1 in downtown or at least that's the plan.

The benches are already in place along the route through downtown of the UBS Parade Spectacular. This particular photo I took on Friday afternoon on Atlantic Street and Tresser Boulevard. There are more benches further north on Atlantic Street, then west on Broad Street, and then north on Summer Street.

Any word if UBS will continue to sponsor the event once they're all moved into the RBS building? I think RBS contributes a little as well, I'd expect that to be reduced to some meaningless amount if anything at all once they've completed moving out a majority of their staff if not already done so. I'm on an early train into Manhattan each morning so from the tracks I've seen different floors lit up and lights off over the last several weeks. Wonder what they are doing in those buildings!

Don't know, but some other company would definitely take its place. Currently the parade is sponsored by several corporations and institutions, not just UBS.

The at grade train crossroad at River Bend Dr finally got gates and lights. Hopefully this improves the safety for motorists.

north side of Third Street between Bedford and Summer streets. Old houses were demolished in the past month or so to make way for condos.
