Can you imagine the Hoover police coming out with "this appears to be a dysfunctional romantic issue"? Seems to be exactly what they are up against.
And what's up with the ex-boyfriend insisting there was a kidnapping, and calling himself her current boyfriend? What's up with that social media post she made which makes her look like a nasty immature teenager instead of a 25 yr old?
There's too much drama and lack of information in this entire incident.
If this is all true, Carlee and her family owe a ton of people an apology, and what about costs incurred?

No doubt she's pulled stuff before and her parents are probably saying to each other... "well, she's gone too far this time" I also wouldn't doubt she has had relationship issues before this joker she is involved with now.
This may seem old-fashioned but this is what happens when you put yourself out there on social media as a babe. She clearly flaunts and no doubt her relationships have been based upon a guy's physical attraction to her which is most guys, but it should not be first and foremost. I'm certainly not asserting that this happens to every young woman who does this, but it's just not a good idea. Save your ego for real life. If you're attractive, no need to flaunt it.
I think pretty much everyone knows now this was a hoax. I'm sure the police know it was a hoax. I think deep down even her family knows it was a hoax. But still the police need to complete the investigation, which might take some time. It's an important investigation, because it's probably going to result in some charges. You can't make false police reports, lie to investigators and not get charged with something.
It took them over 5 years to charge Sherri Papini. Hopefully it won't take that long in this case, but it could.
Yes, and if it turns out that she did this to get back at her ex-boyfriend, which it looks like it might be the case (from that TikTok video with the social media posts by Carlee) she's got some serious issues that need addressing.
Those parents, especially the mom, need to realize that their daughter isn't perfect, she's not a saint and she messed up.
