TFW, Do you have someone to help you around the house or run your errands? Geeze, I wish I lived closer so I could help. I'm so sorry you are having to go thru all this.

Thanks so much, Glory. No, I dont have anyone here -- but I'm used to that. I went home after the ovario-hysterectomy and the rotator-cuff surgeries with no one here. In fact, except for the stroke, I've always managed somehow by myself.

I can see where problems with the feet are more difficult than others, though. It would be so nice to have someone else feed Queenie and do things for me -- and I'm sure I'd heal faster if I were able to stay off the foot totally. If I have the surgery, I'll probably buy a small refrigerator to put by my bed, along with the dog food, etc. But I'll still need to do things like let Queenie out in the back yard.

Camper, thanks for the info that you still use your boot from time to time. One good thing is that I think walking with it actually uses a lot more calories.

Have any of you seen this before? Click to Give - Give to Charity for free! (http://clicktogive.com/Default.aspx - broken link)

It looks very easy and it's free, plus you're helping every day when you click. I'd like to post it as a freebie, what do you think?

Happy Friday to Everyone!!

This is my favorite breed of dog. My oldest son had an English Bulldog growing up. (The youngest kids had a white Boxer instead.) I'm thinking about getting another dog and am leaning towards another Bulldog. I just love them.

After spending several days crawling around the house, I finally broke down and bought a wheelchair (paid extra to have it delivered) so I can get to the podiatrist on Monday. Please say a prayer that he schedules the surgery ASAP.
