He does reenactments for other things too. What's the big deal. More left desperate tactics.
Every conservative or rebuplican that goes up gets shot down by the left. That one is a witch, this one dresses like a Nazi, this one said that his wife should submit to him. These are all a bunch of crap. The problem with the left (everyday folks, not the politicians) is that they hear this crap from the liberal, so called leaders, and then don't look into the whole picture. You just go on believing a lie. You get all bent out of shape over nothing. Grasping at straws here. It's pathetic.
The S.S Waffen Uniforms and the Wiking division represents some of the most heinous of the activities that took place during WW2. Anyway he isn't just being attacked by the left on this, Eric Cantor also went after him on this.
Oh, that makes a hell of a difference. No we just gathered them up to go to the death camps and yeah we shot a bunch before they got there, but despite being the most dedicated of all Nazi's we weren't as bad as the Nazi's that got assigned to the death camps.
Oh, heaven help up those who continue to mitigate the crimes of the Shoah.
By the end of the war most (around 60 percent) of the Waffen SS were not ardent Nazis but conscripts and foreigners (incl. Eastern Europeans and Muslims the Nazis disliked...).
When we were taking the western half of Germany, it was common practice to shoot on sight when it was SS troops. This was in part payback for the practice of some SS units. Prisoners were also searched to look for the tattoo which identified them as SS. Even with foreign members, it was expected for them to be loyal and dedicated to the ideal. Anyone willing to fight went into the army. Only those who "qualified" went into the SS even at the end.
With this canditate, I'm sure the unifirom is spiffy and all, but I do wonder what sort of reinactment is going on if he's playing the SS. And that he'd been warned by those who were advising him to cool it and he didn't get the idea is not much of a reccomendation.
There ARE hotbutton associations around and thats one. This bunch of canditates reminds me of the long long list of oddballs that ran on the recall ballot of Grey Davis in California. That he doesn't get that this is offensive to people speaks to his character.
Not thrilled with either party myself, but sure wish some canditates who employed reason, logic, thought and used their education would run. All we seem to get is name callers and oddballs who are enjoying their 15 minutes.

Fun aside, anyone on the right should run away and as fast as they can from this guy. All the rationalization, excuses as to why and nuanced technicalities make not a hill of beans. If you know whats good for you RUN.
I do find it funny that the extreme elements on the right will use Obama depicted as Hitler to give the worst possible image known to modern man in order to denounce him, yet will excuse, rationalize, and defend some guy who voluntarily and willing dresses up as an Nazi SS to play on the weekends.
Whats next, Klu Klux Klan reenactments on the weekends?

He made quotes glorifying the Nazis and Nazi behavior and he wore the uniform. That is all pretty sick. Especially considering what the Nazis did. Anyone running for political office in America could not be in their right mind to do such things.
