So plagiarism is a thing now? I thought it was always tromped down whenever the wrong kinds of white people mention how much MLK plagiarized? But it's a thing again? Like we should look out for it?
I will split hairs here and say that Melania paraphrased more than she plagiarized. it's a fine line, but she herself did not steal any language verbatim. The fact that Obama, Biden, and countless others did the same thing doesn't make it okay. It was a screw-up on behalf of the writers. I believe she said she wrote it to not throw them under the bus, but that's JMO.
What's amusing to me, and proof that the liberal media are vengeful idiots, is that Melania spoke for 35 minutes and overall gave a great speech. Nobody in the Clinton loving media gave her any credit for that and they only cherry-picked a few words. That is a sad indictment of how blind they are and how they only hear what they want to hear.

You are delusional if you really believe that. Run both of those paragraphs through any or all websites that check for plagiarism and you won't find a single one that backs you up. And since Melania is on video record before the speech as saying that "she wrote all the words herself with as little help as possible" she's also a proven liar. The campaign was totally unprofessional to allow her to give a speech that wasn't thoroughly vetted. If they had, they wouldn't have thrown away two days of news cycles on this. And by not owning up to the mistake and apologizing for it they are in danger of throwing away even more news cycles.
Exactly. And the Democratic Apparatchiks dumb-dumbs who are patting themselves on the back for catching such an an obvious setup (a Michelle Obama speech? So obvious!) and fell into the trap, desperately need a course in playing chess. Don't fall into obvious traps. You'll regret it.
