Actually if Obama makes you feel happy or optimistic that is a good thing.
I apologise for raining on your parade.

However on the flip side, rubbing in that your guy DID win seems a little....petty and mean spirited.

Not saying posters responding to THIS thread have done so but people certainly have.

That doesn't seem to be the way happy or optimistic people should act.

Just my thoughts.

But now we have a new captain who finally sees the icebergs and who's steering as hard as he can to set a safer course. So yes, there is still plenty to worry about but it seems like we are on a better course--and that's what creates this feeling.

Wow, I guess it's a feeling of hope. I haven't felt it in such a long time that I almost didn't recognize it.
That's how I feel. Obama is one man, not the Messiah (as the Right likes to think the Left thinks of him), but he's a smart, well-educated, thoughtful, energetic man who wants to do the best he can for the country. It's a welcome change from the last 8 years.

Can we get back on the topic, please? I don't appreciate thread hijacking.

I think South Park covered this feeling with the 25% theory.

I love you guys.

His approval numbers started at 68% on Jan 20th.

They went up to 69% on Jan 26th.

Today, Jan 27th, at 67%

Sorry ... but we are talking insignificant changes here!

Obama's approval ratings are as strong as ever !!
