Add me to the runners who won't take a step without a sports bra. I'm pretty sure all that bouncing up and down would eventually cause more sagging than not wearing one. As I said to a friend last year, I'm 59 and my you-know-whats still point forward, not down, so I'm happy.

I can HIGHLY recommend this bra. I've owned three of them. 36E, 34DD, 32DD (as I lost weight) Some women don't like them because they provide separation and encapsulation. They prefer what I call "pancake *****" or uni-boob.

I wonder what explanation the researchers would give for this.

I have this one, it works great! (34Hish here) Suitable for jogging!

I also have this: http://www.amazon.com/Shock-Absorber.../dp/B002C1AZHS and it is also great. The Freya has better shape. The Shock absorber is a bit of a pain to put on, but is more comfy. Also excellent for running and jumping.

This one gets raves, but I haven't tried it:

LOL!

I don't believe most women wear a bra because of worrying about sagging. Gravity and age will take care of that very nicely, unfortunately. I truly believe bras are helpful to prevent pain (especially for the larger chicks) and with modesty (Pervert gawking prevention).

Bottom line - bras do nothing one way or another re" "sagging". They are just a modern invention, derived from the corset to enhance the figure and also provide modesty.

When I can, I go without for comfort reasons, other times I strap one on to lift and shape!

Most of those women have multiple children and breast feed. And by multiple children I do not mean 2.3 more like 6 or more. Many of the women are also photographed while carrying an infant/toddler are breastfeeding so their breasts are enlarged.

In the land of humans, sports bras are a pretty new invention. Native Americans didn't have them and they seem to get along just fine. Pretty sure they ran in actual woods and not on a treadmill in a heated/air conditioned gym. Or maybe it was just the Senecas who lived outdoors.
