I'm not sure what dinner will be tonight, but since it's col and windy and grey outside today I will be making my ultimate comfort food...... Fudge!!!!
I have a couple of new recipes from my husbands grandmother: Butterscotch fudge, cranberry fudge and marshmellow creme fudge. Well enough typing, time to start cooking.
I just looked out my window and it's SNOWING!!!!!!! OMG this is absolutely awful!!!! I better hurry up with that fudge so thatI'm not so depressed! :c rying:

I've been crying for hours!!!! It started here at 8AM and is sticking.
I've been away from the 'What's for dinner' thread for awhile, but thought I'd try to slide back in, if that's ok!! I haven't been cooking much lately since we are currently living in a leased condo while we are househunting, and the kitchen is SO TINY!!! There is barely room to turn around and let's not even talk about the lack of countertop to work on!!
However the mood hit and I jumped in the kitchen and cooked up some yummy 'southern' fried chicken - yes, I fried it because it's the only way DH will eat it!! And some homemade potato salad, broccoli slaw and honey cornbread!! And of course, I had to top it off with some homemade chocolate chip cookies!!! Definitely not a meal for watching the waistline - but I figure that when it's cold out, we need some good ole comfort food!!!
It's good to be back and I look forward to my favorite part of this group - learning new recipes and how to do them!!!

Oh Vey! I know we will have a lot of snow this winter....maybe over 100 inches like the Old Farmers Almanac is predicting--but like the grasshopper....I am enjoying the sunshine today.
