Hmmm, spaghetti. With all these ideas I might just put the dumplings into the freezer

It's so funny how one person here can "plant a seed and watch it grow"! Now we're on the "spaghetti roll!

Here is the ingredient list for the supposed "earliest Mole Sauce". No peanuts!

4 tomatillos, husks removed

1 tomato, toasted in a skillet and peeled

½ teaspoon chile seeds

3 tablespoons pepitas (toasted pumpkin or squash seeds)

1 corn tortilla, torn into pieces

2 tablespoons medium-hot chile powder

1 teaspoon achiote (annatto seeds)

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 cups chicken broth

1 ounce Mexican or bittersweet chocolate

Turkey breast. I need something to make my DH some sandwiches for lunch this week. Haven't thought of the sides yet.....

I am going to use the drippings to make gravy which will go in the freezer for Thanksgiving. A good backup in case we run out of gravy on "the day" or my gravy comes out just plain crappy. It's only my second Tgiving after all and gravy is one of those things that better be right or the whole dinner is screwed.

Funny y'all should be talking about steaks. I took a couple of sirloins out of the freezer yesterday, but we were too full from lunch and skipped dinner entirely. DH hates BBQ-ing on work days, but he agreed to do it tonight instead.

So, tonight will be BBQ'd sirloin steak, creamed spinach and whipped potatoes.

Grilled steaks sound so good! I am not to fond of steaks cooked indoors--that's what a BBQ was made for here!! Ha! But alas, the wind is blowing like crazy and it's getting pretty cold today so that is out of the question. I am hoping our grilling days aren't over for this year yet but they just might be if it stays cold like this! At least the skies are basically blue/with big fluffy clouds!
