Thanks

My favorite is amaretto sours

Spiced Bread Pudding

2 cups dry bread cubes
4 cups milk scalded
3/4 cup sugar
1 T butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
4 eggs lightly beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 Cup (at least) raisins I like a lot of raisins
can soak the raisins in amaretto or now Kahlua or Grand Marnier

Soak bread in scalded milk for 5 minutes. Add sugar, butter, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar. Pour slowly over eggs.
Add vanilla and raisins and mix well.
Pour into buttered casserole dish.
Place into a pan of hot water in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until a silver knife comes out clean when inserted into the center.
Cool and enjoy!

Morning all-thank you for your kind welcome.

Lasagna last night was good. Made it with whole wheat lasagna noodles-didn't boil them first. We never eat white flour any more-just trying to eat healthy and lose weight.

Tonight is turkey breast-lite mashed potatoes and corn.

So much to research today. We relocated from Va to Midwest in Oct (DH Job)
Still looking for a job!!The market is really dried up here. DD is at college ECU,NC-hates it. She wants to go back to VA-VCU and rent an apartment. Now have to research independence/emancipation and instate rates-She will not come here.

Check in later after research and treadmill.

Welcome DKVA you will love being part of our great warm, caring family.

HG, wonderful news, congratulations.

Lacey, I saw on the weather channel that that snowstorm is expected to hit you around 2:00 today. I know you will be careful. Send Mr. L hugs from the K household.

I am soooo glad that I had the dr's office make dh ultrasound for this morning, he just called it is all over and being sent to the dr's. They were going to schedule this for next Thursday and I said not acceptable, so they did it today.

We had a nice time with our friends at the Oyster bar last night, I had Yuengling and baked oysters with Gorgonzola and spinach and red bell pepper. Heavenly! Hubby had salmon without anything on it, boiled rice & mashed potatoes, a glass of ice water and he had to give his hush puppies away. He isn't happy already, and yesterday was only day 1.
He is cheating already, he stopped at Mickey d's for an egg McMuffin and coffee.

I am going to make him turkey soup and plain tuna for lunch.

Dinner will be baked Talapia, rice and an unknown vegetable at this point.

Hope everyone has a good morning, I will check back later. kelsie

Hope his ultra sound shows what's wrong.

Uh-oh, what happened? Sounds like a story.

My mom taught my brothers to cook as teenagers, and they both enjoy cooking today & are good at it.

Didn't end up making soup last night. Maybe tonight. Last night I put some deep fried chicken breast slices in a skillet with a little butter. Browned on one side then flipped. Slice of cheese on top and put it all on a toasted pistollet. Good and easy.
