Cannolis and fresh brewed french vanilla coffee completes the meal. Hubby is happy like a pig in mud!

Tonight I let you throw lobster at me

Oh No! NMS how can you be from NY? I am not even a baseball fan but if I were to mention those two words in my Father's house.... oh boy... you don't even want to know what would have happend. LOL

Everyone's meals sound so good... and the whole ham discussion! Oh I am sorry I missed that one!

Dinner was great fun tonight and very delicious. Parents have a ton of left overs I can munch on tomorrow. My kids totally zonked out so we ended up having to head home early. That is alright. To tell ya the truth I am a tad tired as well... it has been a busy few days... as well as filling few days. Gotta love having family in town... something about having both your belly and you heart full is a good thing.

"heart and belly full" What a wonderful way to describe family and food! If you don't mind, I would love to borrow that expression!

Got some takeout for the local BBQ Joint. Smoked chicken tenders with sides of mac & chesse and southern slaw. I'm gonna sleep well tonight

I made salmon patties with a sour cream/dill sauce, served with shoestring potatoes, and fresh corn on the cob, tomatoes, and pickles from the local farmers market - washed down with lots of sweet tea, of course. Pecan pie for dessert. Easy, and wonderful, I hoped to have some patties left over for lunch today - no such luck, my kids ate them all during the nighttime "munchies". Oh, well.

Your squash sounds delicious...and just the way I cook it too, in fact, acorn squash cooked with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon is one of my all time favorite foods!

LOL! Thank you, amberbaby. My family's heart and belly will also be quite full. (Thank you, skbs! Lovely.)

I cannot wait for one of my sons and family to come to visit. I will have a ham they will not soon forget. I'll call it "Amberbaby's Love Pig"!
