Since it has been storming here for most of the day, I made some burgers and put them under the broiler, made saffron rice, and we had green beans for our veggie. Sweet iced tea to drink. Ice cream for dessert.
with potato wedges baked in the same pan as the tomatoes and peppers. I make mine with a lot of garlic; yeah, my co-workers may not be happy tomorrow but they will smell me coming in the door, that's for sure!
Since the kids missed the homemade ravioli the other day, we made more for dinner today. I also made a tomato and meat sauce that is simmering on the stove. We will serve it with focaccia bread from Fresh Market. I'm guessing when the dishes are done there will be ice cream for dessert while watching Top Gear on BBC.

Tonight was at Saltgrass, with mesquite-broiled chicken, mixed veggies (carrots, green beans, broccoli), a baked potato, Shiner Bock bread, and iced tea.
We had friends over and we grilled veggie kabobs and shrimp kabobs with a soy citrus glaze. Fingerling potato salad, spinach salad with mushrooms and tomatoes with Greek vinegarette, crusty rosemary and sea salt bread and a variety of sorbets.
A guest brought a lemon cake that was ti die for.
DH made a luscious watermelon basil cocktail. I also served lemon aid.
Baked beef and pork ribs, potato salad and corn on the cob.
