Sesame brocccoli and steamed sprouted tofu with a maple-shoyu glaze over brown basmati rice. Oolong and jasmine green tea and New Belgium Rampant to drink.
Today in the late afternoon my godchildren are coming and I decided to make something fun for them..German"Pfannekuchen" pancake Cake with fresh apple sauce I am making also today. A glass of milk for each of us
Basically I am layering my pancakes about 10 of them at a time and sprinkle them with icing sugar. My apple sauce I will make from 20 Cortland apples, cut in quarters with peel, put them in a pot,add cinnamon, clove, allspice, sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon juice, and let it boil, than slow cook for about 20 minutes. After that I use my steel hand turning mill ,all I do is throw all the cooked apples in it and rotate it one way til sauce comes out from the bottom.Than I add the sauce to the puree and taste it.Yes I still do it the old fashion way

I'm having Chicken Lo Mein which I put in the crockpot. My version with chicken thigh meat, carrots, onions, green onions, celery, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, chicken broth, water chestnuts, and add the end I add snow pea pods and fresh mushrooms -- over Asian noodles. I usually don't serve anything else with it.
Family wants glazed chicken again, so I am making that along with either fried rice or noodles. Also have a pork roast marinating in mustard and wine for tomorrow's dinner of mustard roasted pork with root vegetables.
