All you can eat isn't too appealing to me because I don't get my money's worth. I like the variety of items available, but I've found that most of the time quantity is put above quality and that's not a healthy way for me to eat.

In that case, you should pick the buffet items that are easiest to get.

All you can eat means the fresh oysters aren't going anywhere except my stomach

It's a place I would never go to! It also means a lot of obese people!

I don't care for buffets. Even nice ones often the food is not hot for example. I also don't like mixing foods that don't go together. I tend to be a picky eater in general so it is a waste. I tend to make my plate like a meal I would order and then some dessert. I will say the last buffet I ate at was 6 years ago and it was an upscale one where I ate to many fresh shrimp. I have not had shrimp since.
If I ever go to Las Vegas I will try a buffet for brunch there cause I heard they are nice to eat at when you go to Las Vegas.

Eat till I am stuffed or if the food isn't that fulfilling, whichever comes first.

Or

I can pay $11.99 and eat half the entree, half the naan, all of the appetizer and crisps with sauce that comes with the meal, and a free gulab jamun or khir for dessert, and take the other half of the entree and half of the naan home for the next day's lunch.

To me, I get MUCH more of my money's worth by ordering off the menu. Buffets cater to the "I want it all NOW" crowd. I'm more of a "I want some of this now, some of that later" type of gal.
It varies with the ones I've been to, but $14 was the cheapest a la carte item, and the portion was only enough for 1.5 meals... barely. And all there was was rice and the entrée. You've got a nice place that includes a complimentary dessert with your purchase.

Years ago I ate at buffets. No more. I have food sensitivities and also became very turned off by the hordes of obese people piling their plates until food was FALLING OFF - ugh! Plus, that stuff has been sitting around for a long time, growing bacteria, or becoming overcooked, wilted, etc. Not to mention people pawing through it. High end places are just as bad as Golden Corral or those cheap Chinese places.

Even if I thought the stuff was great, I don't eat enough to make it worth it.
