Not being snarky, everyone has their own way of doing things.

Just makes me scratch my head.
Not snarky. I've wondered the same thing.

If you have been out of work for less than a year you are a rookie.

If you shower at work before working hours that is not so bad. In fact your coworkers may thank you.

That's right! All the people who are saying they will "never" do this or that really mean they will never do this or that provided that their present financial circumstances continue. Certainly they hope that they will never to in a position to have to do this or that, and I can't say I blame them. However, we might be surprised at what we can end up doing when things get down to brass tacks. Beware of being too arrogant and snooty because life has a way of throwing some very nasty curves.

Instead of wasting time washing out sandwich bags, why not spend that time teaching yourself new skills that you can use to make more money/get a better job?

Many of these 'frugal' things people do seem to be huge wastes of time, compared to using that time to build the skills needed to get a better paying job.

This is the second time you have posted this.

Some of us here have professional level jobs. We do not need to learn new skills for a better job -- we are at the top. We are frugal and not wasteful. Just because you have money does not mean you have to waste it. Just because you have money now, does not mean it will always be that way. These are uncertain times and nothing in life is guaranteed.

I have a professional level job too, and there is always something above you. Do you have a boss? Does your business have an opportunity to expand? Claiming you are 'at the top' is a somewhat ignorant statement in my mind. It is the second time I have said this because you time is more valuable than saving $0.10 washing out a plastic bag. You ARE wasteful. That is my point. You are wasteful of your time, which is hopefully worth more than the value of a plastic bag.
