That would be a good fit for that location. Earth Fare was just too expensive to compete even with Whole Foods (now Amazon), Sprouts, or Trader Joe's. That stretch of Pelham needs some grocers.

Walmart, Publix, and Bi-Lo are right there.

Yeah really. Even Lowe's backed out for that area due to all that competition. In would guess Publix is scouting those locations but it's very close to the Thornblade Publix.

I'm thinking it would be a great spot for Harris Teeter.

Very small currently for HT unless they got neighboring spaces for an expansion. Bi-Lo left that location years ago for the larger store across the street.

The whole foods in Augusta only lasted 2 years. Which is strange considering that was the big talk of the town while it was being built and so many people were excited.

They will probably just turn it into an Aldi.

Publix Super Markets would scout additional locations nearby if there is enough business in the trade area to open a second Publix or to open a GreenWise Market.

Sad. These organic grocery stores are largely victims of their own success. They got successful, then everywhere started carrying organic food (even Walmart!) and then there's not so much a reason to have organic grocery stores any more.

Agree. That Bi-Lo across the street is horrible, content-wise. It has not kept pace with the few Bi-Lo's that have been 'upgraded,' sadly. Maybe the Earth Fare closure with spur ownership to do something about that.

As an aside, Bi-Lo used to be in the location that Earth Fare is currently. I worked there in high school. Good times.
