It's refreshing to discuss good eats. As a 62 year old retiree, there are days that eating out is the highlight of our day. Praying for the day we can sit down again with each other for a good meal. Picking up a meal and eating at home is good for right now, but I will never again take for granted a wonderful sit down meal at one of our great restaurants. I miss the smiles and friendly service of our waitresses and waiters. I miss the heart and soul that our cooks put into good meals. I miss the restaurant owners coming around to say hello and to thank us for eating with them. I miss church fellowship the most, but next in line are my favorite restaurants.
Are you asking for recommendations for Korean restaurants? The one behind the Red Robin gas station is one of the better ones in this area. There is another place down Woodruff called KimChee - I went there once and it was also pretty good as well. I would like to see a more modern Korean place pop up but there isn't really one in the area.
I honestly end up cooking it myself when I'm craving Korean food.
Ingles and some of the other local groceries now carry most of the basic staples. For what I can't find at the grocery store, there is a Korean market off of Pelham Road and Hwy 14. Anytime I go through Atlanta I try to stop at H-Mart to stock up on stuff as well.

With the Haywood Mall closed for an indefinite time, when it does reopen, I wonder how many stores we will see head to the retail graveyard? Besides Sears exiting, I see it just a matter of time that JCP closes. So that will be two major anchors gone, most likely before the year is out.
I'm sure we will see several smaller stores close for good as well. Haywood Mall won't be the same.
