It really is too bad no one has figured out how to cross graph Apples and Oranges! BTW this is the most entertaining thread going in the SC Forum.
"Charleston. Too poor to have a waterfall and too proud to get rid of that pluff mud smell" (the She Crab Soup was good)
"Greenville. Asheville has no waterfall but we do and you can also visit the Appalachians!"(it won our hearts)
Two good restaurants that I've had breakfast recently in Upstate SC are Cendy's Cafe near Table Rock State Park and Sister's Restaurant in Salem near Devil's Fork State Park.
Charleston: Water falls and rushes toward its ultimate destination - the big water - leaving its occasional bouts with diarrhea (diarrhea-colored water) up in them thar hills, as it prepares for its arrival at the confluence of the Ashley and Cooper rivers before flowing gracefully into and out of the mighty Atlantic Ocean. And the beat goes on.
I would have thought they would include a boardwalk along the riverbank, both for the public and for extra reinforcement. It appears to be a major mudslide away from falling into the river.
Charleston’s Cooper Hotel under construction on the Cooper River and adjacent to Waterfront Park is extending the public river walk by 400 feet in front of their plaza, which will also be for public use and will lead gradually into the hotel’s public restaurant in a terraced manner.
BTW, the next parcel of land just north of the Cooper Hotel is the 70-acre, soon to be repurposed port terminal, also on the Cooper. The north end of it is only a block from Liberty Square, where the International African American Museum, the Fort Sumter Monument Educational Center, and the S.C. Aquarium are, also on the Cooper, with plans in the works to tie into the river walk at the Cooper Hotel and Waterfront Park.
