This is only the second location in SC that has the new Starbucks Clover brewing system. You have to ask for it and if you haven't tried it you need to.

Is it a whole different kind of bitter, burnt taste than normal Starbucks coffee?

Love it! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that!

Starbucks is way overpriced and way overhyped. Although some of their pastries are good. But I hear Dunkin Donuts and even McDonald's have good coffee. And possibly QuikTrip. But I am not a coffee drinker myself, so I really can't comment.

Then how can you judge if they are overpriced and overhyped?

And yes, there is a reason why Starbucks is #1 in the nation. Marketing and customer service. Is there better coffee out there? Probably (def not DD though..ugh).

It seems that we always hear how Starbucks is overpriced but yet a large (Venti) brewed coffee is only $2.83. I think a lot of people fail to realize that just because you are at a Starbucks you don't have to order a Cappuccino or Latte and spend $5.

I agree their brew coffee prices are reasonable. We ONLY go to Starbucks when we have a gift card. We only order brew coffee mainly because we don't want the calories/sugar that come with the other drinks. If we don't have a gift card, it is McDonald's senior coffee for us, lol.

Exactly what I do! I get a lot of Starbucks gift cards, and that is pretty much the only time I go there. I must admit, though, that I do sometimes indulge in something yummy and unhealthy there
