Did you know you can track Santa's progress via "NORAD tracks Santa"? Can't post the link, but just google it. Of course if you're staring right at the North Pole in Elousv,s pic, all you have to do is stick around and watch Santa take off...I guess?

Merry Christmas to all you Porchers and Lurkers! Be safe getting to where you're going--someplace exotic, Grandma's house, or just home from last-minute shopping. Hope Santa brings you what you wish for--winter boots, a snow plow, spud juice, or simply the safe arrival of family who's been stuck at some airport due to wacky weather...

Any Porchers or Lurkers stuck in airports this Holiday season? I spent 8 hours overnight at Chicago's O'Hare before Christmas in a blizzard after missing my connecting flight.. I really, really dislike O'Hare... No clear signage, no information booths, no outlets for recharging cell phones or plugging in laptops it was a pitiful sight: exhausted people milling around searching for outlets in nooks and crannies--it felt like being in a Seinfeld episode! And no vendors were open--you couldn't even get a bottle of water. I hope you all were where you wanted to be at Christmas! I finally got to where I was going--but no more O'Hare if I can help it!!!

Glad you're safe and hopefully warm. I've spent my share of time stranded in airports too.

I've always tried to avoid O'Hare as well, but sometimes you just can't.

Anybody heard from Trace lately? I sent him an email that got bounced back and he hasn't answered PM's. That's not like him.

Anyone else lose power? Looks like we'll be out for most of the day (Northern Lights). Yay for generators since the solar power isn't working so well with snow covering the panels. Time for new batteries too.
Best thing about the snow today: had anexcuse not to take my youngest daughter to Spokane Valley Mall. Malls aren't my favorite place but the Valley is worst of all.

misty we have had several power bumps in the last two days. Heard from a neighbor where we used to live they have had outages for many hours in the last couple of days. Hope you get charged up soon. Supposed to get down right chilly around here tomorrow.

Power came back on for several hours and now it's out again. Looks like a big outage for Northern Lights this time.
Phones have been off and on too. This snow is nasty...heavy, wet and icy.
