Is there a difference particularly between "Mexicans" and "Americans", something I can keep an eye out for?...

Oh, but it isn't about skin color but an attitute based on cultural beliefs. Uh, yeah there is a difference. Mexico and the USA are two separate countries with two different cultures. Americans tend to lean towards the rule of law. Mexico, not so much and many of their ciitzens have adhered towards that attitude proof being in how many are here illegally.
The Democratic Party appeals to their emotions. But a vote for the Democratic Party is a vote to make America like the Mexico of the PRI. And a vote for the Democratic Party is a vote to undo the great American achievement of uniting the children of immigrants from all over the world as Americans.

One could say that the United States, being that there is the highest percentage of its peoples behind bars, also have a predilection for crime (btw - immigrants have lower crime rates than the native-born in the U.S.)...

LEGAL immigrants have lower crime rates. The crime rates for illegals cannot be established due to their propensity for NOT reporting crime.

In the meantime teaching our American children, that they should give up their rights to support children in other countries.
