I saw the pictures of them in California living in the woods. (In Texas we call that homless, or camping) And if they all work, why are so many of the standing on street corners?

As I said come here and I will show you lots of them.

Excellent point! As one that is on the high end of 40 I expect more from my peers

Us mexicans and people from other places (not born in the US) we are here to better our selves, and we dont put any excuses.
Hi there Mexican girl.
Let me offer you my thoughts on immigration. I have NO problem with hardworking, clean, decent law abiding folks coming from anywhere to make a good life here. That is what we are about as Americans.
What I struggle with is this, and it's a sincere question, with no disrespect intended.
Our ancestors defied the "crown" crossed the ocean, fought the "crown" again on this soil, fought eachother, disease, famine, fire and flood, the Indians and otheres to gain this country. And here we are, the world's greatest country so they say.
Why won't Mexicans overthrow their own government to have the lifestyle and freedoms that they want? I'm sure a number of Americans would support this!
Certainly the Mexican people outnumber the politicians?
I've heard scary things about Mexican government, but in truth, I know very little.
Maybe you can share your insights with me?
Thank you.

I think it is positive that you share your experiences and views as we all do, only something good can come of this, please tell us more about your story, I just want to kindly ask you to do it with respect, and be open to the ideas of the other forum members they have their reasons to have those views about immigration as well and that way we can keep learning from each other

Honestly I admire your courage for coming here and speaking what you think, people we need to know the voice of "illegals" too! we've been hearing the voice of American Citizens and Mexican Citizens, but not from an "illegal" immigrant, maybe that's what we need.

And if you don't mind I want to ask you something, from paisa to paisa, what made you immigrate to the United States, what was missing in Mexico that made you go there and don't mind about being "illegal"
What a gentleman you are.
I assume you are a Legal immigrant? If so, are you not irritated by those who cheat the system? And why it sooo difficult for Mexicans to get here legally?
Is it hard to leave or hard to arrive?
With all due respect.

You've got to be joking. I am very offended by your post, Racism is against the TOS.

I agree with your post, except for the following points:

*They are mostly here to work, not for handouts (most would be here REGARDLESS of handouts, given to them by our liberal lawmakers)

*They are NOT "all over the place". There are none, for instance on my property...

*They ARE hard to pick out, (unless you get them to show you their ID. Very few actually carry "Yo Soy Mojado" papers, if that's what you mean)..

*Many of them certainly DO speak English....

*Lastly, unless they've been laboring in the hot sun just moments before you observed them, or just stepped out of the shower, MOST of their backs are quite dry...(and when I work in the sun, my back, too, gets "wet", regardless of my legality)...

Good, well-written post, though...other than the few mistakes I just pointed out..
