Yes -- illegals have some rights. They have the right not to be hunted and killed, or robbed, raped, assaulted. They do not have the right to be here and should be sent back home.

That's a very fair question, and once again, you've "hit on something". I think you're absolutely correct, by the way.

The answer to your question, though, is LOTS of people didn't originally come for the money. In fact, I'd say MOST immigrants didn't come originally for the "money". Many had very LITTLE money for long years after they DID get here.

What they came for was the freedom, and the protection from tyranny and oppression. Even though most had a hard time, they had a very "upbeat outlook". They were GLAD to be here, and knew it was a HUGE inprovement over their "old life".

Believe it or NOT, many Mexican illegals felt this same exact way just a few years ago. I've known many personally, who were very GLAD to be here, GLAD to be out of Mexico, and very appreciative of their "niche" here. I've heard it myself, from them.

More recently, the Vietnamese and the Cubans come to mind as large immigrant groups who came here NOT for the money at all--but for the freedom. The "money" came later, as an afterthought. These folks WANTED to take part in society, become "part of the program", learn the culture and the language, and become citizens, by going through the legal steps.
