Color is just part of a person's description, that's all. If you had to describe someone to the police color would be part of the description; just like tatoos, hair color, height, etc.

It could be done. It would be expensive and annoying (as it is with air travel.) But it's completely possible.

As one specialist on CNN said, there was nothing anyone could have done to stop this well planned massacre.

Of course it is possible to post security guards at all entrances of all hotels and have airport screening type facilities. The problem is that is expensive to do and most people wouldn't want to have to submit to this type of screening.

There are too many buildings to implement high end security and way to much traffic. The cost would put many out of business. It'd be like have armed guards at every elementary school just because of 1 incident.

In a free society it will be impossible to stop. Bad guys will always figure out a new approach.

Obviously, they're not going to tear down the Mandalay Bay Hotel, but sadly, I bet there will be sickos who will try to book that room after it's back in action just to say they slept in the same room as the nation's biggest mass murderer.
I've got to think the hotel would no longer rent that room but I could be wrong.

I was thinking the same thing--
That it could become some kind of shrine depending on whether or not this shooter had an agenda or just because people are nuts...

They should just wall it off so no one can even visit it as a sick tourist attraction.

Yes--there might be more security for people going to football game or baseball game but what about the people working at that site--
Just like I think plenty of maintenance people or service people working at airports or malls or any hotel/conference center has the ability to bring guns into a venue

This guy's actions sicken me--
[mod cut]

This guy apparently had the potential to kills hundreds of people with his firepower--we should be grateful the total so far is under 100---
I imagine depending on nature of injuries that other people are hurt so badly they could die from wounds...

The police got to him quicker than he thought maybe or maybe he had problem trying to shoot so fast in weapons NOT truly automatic...
Someone on an earlier post or maybe on tv who was there said that he might have had issue with the barrel of the gun becoming so hot that it closed--so he paused from time to time...

I have been out of the house and not seen any recent news so don't know what the police/authorities have discovered or passed into public knowledge...
