For whatever reason, today is National Drink Steel Reserve Day if you are homeless. Thats all I saw the bums on the strip drinking today

In other news, I will most likely NOT be getting laid off at the Cosmopolitan after all! I went and spoke to the security manager today and he said he was going to see if any more open positions were available, he'd email the paperwork to my manager at the pool for me to transfer. If this pulls through, I should be starting as security November 7! Starting as PT with FT openings 4-6 weeks afterwards!

Life is good!
If you spend some time in casino security and like it. You may want to consider getting the skills needed to do casino surveillance. Good solid pay. No layoff's. No politics to deal with. Easy on the body. You just need to be a good multitasker and have a high tolerance for stress. The rest can be taught on the job if you have the desire and motivation.

Default Work lurk

Sorry for my silence the last three weeks, I have been on a WORK LURK.
I have been busy here, Working on my house, running wires, and doing genereal house construction work, I added a SPA, and have been making sure it is working (using it like 2 times a day)

here is a pic:

I only gave a tip once to a street performer, and it was just the change in my pocket. It was a guy who had a dog dressed like a cowboy. Little white dog stood on his hind legs wearing a hat and cowboy outfit. it was so cute I couldn't NOT take a picture. After I dropped some change in the guy's bucket he picked up the dog and asked my hold out my fist. The dog did a "fist bump" with me as a thank you.

I have no problem with street performers that actually DO something, so long as they are LEGAL....and by LEGAL I mean, no wants or warrants and legal to work in the US....and NO Sex offenders......and one sign of HUSTLING and they get their license pulled.

I was in SF one time....at the Giradelli Sq Trolly terminal....there was a 12 string guitar picker there....with an open case...and it was fillin up with money but he was diddling the strings....not playin a lot...and nothing tough....

i listened for a while....he looked to be kinda drug addled....but I threw in $10 in his case cause he was playin "OK".....I said "Play Under the double Eagle"....he looked up and kinda moaned...."Oh Mannnn, your gonna blow my cover here." and he played the absolute BEST and most KICKASS version Ive ever heard.....BETTER then Roy Clark.

But they HAVE to do something, not just sit n look stupid.
