Thank you. I will check those job websites. Im just torn on what to do at this point. I have no family here anymore. I rent a room to live in here. I make very little money and I'm a single person. I have a best friend in Tampa who tells me the economy n job market are booming down there. I just don't know what to do. Suf folk county has not been good to me.

First, cost of living is lower in most of Tampa than most of Nassau/Suffolk.
Second, Florida has no state income tax.
Third, if you have no family on LI and little money there’s little risk to trying a move.
If you have enough saved to pay for a move, have a place to stay (at least at first) and the potential for something lined up - even if close to minimum wage - I think it might work better for you or at least be worth a try.
If it doesn’t work out you can always move back.
Thank you. Im trying. I need a change of senery. I would like to move to Tampa. Long Island is so expensive and I don't make good money. I went to school for medical assisting. I can't break into the field here. I'm middle aged. I just have no quality of life here. It's depressing.
Did you not research the jobs that would be available before you committed to a field of study?
You picked a bad field. Sorry, that's on you, bud.
I'm really thinking about it. I have called realtors in pinellas county Florida. Near Dunedin and Tarpon Springs. I feel like I don't have anything going for me here on long Island. My quality of life is not good.
I know. At the time the school was telling my how much in demand being a medical assistant was and how I would have great job security. It never turned out that way. I hear the good money is in IT security.

You really should stop thinking and brooding and get on with the move. LI won't be getting any cheaper. There's probably lots of demand for people in your field in Florida. I'd look for a job first.

The problem with living in Florida is that you have to live in Florida.
