I still really hate this place. I drove my old mother there today so I could help her shop. Even though we arrived before 4PM, it was still a crowded mess, both in the parking lot with it's severely under-sized parking spaces, as well as in the store. Factor in the typical L.A. penchant for self-absorption, and the whole experience made for one big headache. I cannot imagine why people still patronize this location, when the location just half a mile away has easier parking and much more room inside.

So then why did you patronize that location?

I was doing my mother a favor, since she prefers this location because she doesn't like the roof parking at the other TJ's. Her car is very long and takes extra skill to get it up there and back down.

For a city of nearly 100k residents, there's very few markets in Santa Monica. That's why that location is miserable.

The TJ's in Studio City off of Laurel Canyon has one of the most annoying parking lot entrances ever. EVER. In fact, that is what turned me away from Joe's when I first moved to LA.

The one by where we live is the worst. I would only walk there.

Yeah, I don't go to that one on Santa Monica. I go to the one off of San Vicente and La Cienega. Extremely easy parking.

I usually hit Trader Joes then swing over to Ralph's or vice versa. I used to walk there when I first moved to Weho, but I much prefer the layout of the San Vicente location.

There needs to be a Trader Joe's in the Del Rey/Playa Vista area. There also needs to be another one in Venice/MDR. Gardena needs a Trader Joe's as well.
